On April 6, 1972, in Woodville, Texas, a handsome baby boy was born to Mr. AC and Mrs. Earlene Wortham, they named him Towana Tyrone Wortham.
Tyrone grew up in Blanchard, Texas and attended public school in Livingston, Texas. He grew up with many nicknames, Titi; Dog Boy; finally being called Bo Pete.
Growing up in the Blanchard Community, Tyrone united with the Smith Memorial C.O.G.I.C. “Aka” The House of Miracles and remained under the leadership of Dr. Broderick Gordon.
Tyrone had many trades, he was a song writer, construction worker, gardener, jokester; a man with many talents.
He was preceded in death by both parents; grandparents: Lewis and Luana Wortham; Rodney and Willie Lee Adair; Brothers: James Arthur; Ray Lewis; Glenn O’Neal; Sisters: Trellis Cash, Evelyn Hayes.
He leaves to cherish his memories; nine children: Tywana Wortham of Beaumont, Texas, Shayla Wortham, Towana Wortham Jrs, both of Huntsville, Texas, Haily Wortham of Louisiana, Laketria McNeil of Houston, Texas, Trevor Wortham, Talisha Wortham, Trenton Wortham, Tara Wortham off of Hillsdale, Michigan. Six grandchildren; sisters: Artie Whitley of Austin, Texas, Rita Adams, Leanna James, Marilyn Wortham all of Livingston, Texas. Katrina O’Bryant (William) of Huntsville, Texas, Mary Sills (David) of Midland, Texas. Brothers: AC Wortham Jr. (Evelyn) of Livingston, Texas. Paul Wortham (Brenda) of Houston, Texas, James Wortham (Larrae) of Surprise, Arizona. Aunti Joyce Henry of Livingston, Texas; Brother-in-Law James Hays I of San Antonio, Texas, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
