Pastor Roosevelt Bogany Jr.

On May 7, 1943 a handsome baby boy was born to Mr. Roosevelt Bogany Sr. and Mrs. Gladys Jones Carter in Goodrich, Texas. They named him Roosevelt Jr.

Roosevelt grew up in Goodrich, Texas and attended public schools in Livingston, Texas.

He accepted Christ at a very early age and united with the Guiding Star Church of God In Christ where in served for many years. In 2011 he accepted his calling into the ministery. February 13, 2011 he was ordained as Pastor of the Guiding Star Church of God In Christ where he served until his demise. He loved the Lord and he loved the people, and his church family.

Pastor Bogany was employed with the Texas Highway Department for many years until he retired.

On September 2, 1966 he married the love of his life Mrs. Shirley Walker Bogany. To this union three children were born. He was preceded in death by both parents; and Sisters: Alma Bigham; Willie Mae Mays; and Naomi Broussard.
