Funtella Marie Williams

Funtella Marie Williams, lovingly known as "Pokie," passed away on October 24, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. She was born on June 15, 1970, in Galveston, Texas, and was the beloved daughter of Rosie Marie Linear and Jimmie Linear.

Funtella exuded an effervescent personality that brought joy to everyone she encountered. Her vibrant spirit and outgoing nature made her the life of any gathering. She had an infectious sense of humor that could lighten even the heaviest hearts. Funtella's zest for life was truly contagious.

After graduating from Huntsville ISD in Huntsville, Texas, Funtella embarked on a fulfilling career as a Home Health Provider. She dedicated herself to helping others with compassion and kindness. Funtella's commitment to her work earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and those she cared for.

Family was at the heart of Funtella's world. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and prioritized nurturing those relationships. She was a devoted wife to Warren Williams and a nurturing mother to her children: Quentrele Linear (son) (Lavondria Johnson), Javarus Willis (son), and Zaylan Williams (son). Funtella adored her grandchildren: Bernie Linear, Tuff Linear,Lue Linear, Princeton Jackson, and Reiney Johnson. Their presence brought immeasurable joy into her life.

Funtella was not only deeply connected to her immediate family but also treasured her extended family bonds. She held a special place in her heart for Wilbert Fonteno "Teno" (Extended Father). Funtella shared a unique bond with her brothers: Milton Linear and Drew Linear; along with her sister Sheri Shepherd.

Beyond her immediate family, Funtella leaves behind a vast network of relatives, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, who were all touched by her warm and loving nature. Her friends also mourn her loss deeply. Funtella's friendship circle was vast and diverse, a testament to the impact she had on those around her.

In her leisure time, Funtella found solace in activities that brought her closer to loved ones. Family time held special significance for her as it allowed her to strengthen the bonds she treasured dearly.
